Karmapa pays a personal visit to the Europe Center

Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, arrived at the Europe Center (EC) in south Germany, international meeting place for Diamond Way Buddhists from around the world, in the late afternoon of the 8th of July. He was enthusiastically welcomed by a large gathering of EC residents and practitioners from the surrounding areas.

Upon his arrival, Karmapa went directly to see Lama Ole in his private apartments.

In the evening he met with the EC team and hundreds of other Dharma friends from the neighbouring regions for a question-and-answer session in the EC’s ‘Barn Gompa’, which was packed despite the short notice of Karmapa’s surprise visit. The assembled practitioners made the most of the opportunity, and the stream of questions was unending. By the time the Karmapa concluded the session, it was already past midnight.

On the next day, Karmapa paid another visit to Lama Ole before departing for the airport.
