Karmapa visits KKBC Singapore, Part 3

On the last two days of his visit to Singapore, Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, granted the empowerments of Manjushri, the meditation aspect embodying the transcendent wisdom of all Buddhas, and Dzambhala (or Jambhala), a wisdom aspect associated with wealth, prosperity, and the removal of poverty and hindrances on all levels.
Karmapa also continued to meet with representatives and groups of practitioners from various centres in Asia and Europe.

The event concluded on the evening of the 13th of September with a festive gala dinner at Singapore EXPO. The programme featured speeches by Ven. Shangpa Rinpoche and members of the Organising Committee, and the passing of tokens of appreciation to the main sponsors and supporters of the event. The vegetarian menu was accompanied by a programme of devotional songs and dances, a light show and a joint lamp offering in commemoration of the recently departed ‘Lama Rinpoche’, Venerable Maniwa Sherab Gyaltsen, with Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche leading the chant.
