Coming up: live stream of Karmapa’s teachings at the Public Meditation Course

Students are invited to join the live stream of Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, as he teaches and leads prayers during the Public Meditation Course at Karmapa International Buddhist Institute (KIBI) in Delhi from 24 December 2019 – 2 January 2020.

During the annual course, Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche, Lama Choying Rinpoche (the meditation master of Nendo Rinpoche’s monastery in Rumtek), and Drubpon Nyigyam Rinpoche (retreat master from Sharminub) will offer teachings on granting sojong vows (dikcha), the four foundations, taking refuge and prostration, the four establishments of mindful awareness, and shamatha meditation.

The schedule for the live stream of Karmapa’s teachings, which will be broadcast simultaneously on Karmapa’s facebook page and on karmapa.org, is as follows (all times are in local Indian time and subject to change):

  • Wednesday 25 December, 5pm-630pm, Chenresig practice transmission and instruction
  • Monday 30 December, 5pm-630pm, Chenresig teaching and practice
  • Wednesday 1 January, 5pm-630pm Chenresig practice, final dedication and lamp offerings
