Buddhist Center

Turku Diamond Way Buddhist Center

A small Diamond Way group started its activity in Turku in 1999 with the blessing of Lama Ole Nydahl. Inspired by his and his wife's Hannah Nydahl's work the group grew steadier and a meditation centre was established in the heart of the city in 2007. Since the beginning the group and the centre has hosted public meditation evenings and regular weekend courses given by Diamond Way teachers. In summer 2010 the centre took part in organising an international Phowa-course given by Lama Ole Nydahl in Ahtela, Sauvo in midsummer 2010. The next year the centre hosted a month-long Buddha statue exhibition in Brinkkala Gallery. The centre moved to its current location in autumn 2015.
