The Retreat Center in Těnovice was founded by Lama Ole Nydahl in 1997. The center is located 25 km south-east of the town of Plzeň in western Bohemia at an altitude of about 550 m.
The center sits in land of about 24 hectares, and includes the main building with a meditation room, kitchen and social facilities. There are also four retreat huts and outdoor showers.
The main activity of the center is to hold large meditation courses, as well as individual and joint retreats during the year.
