Stuttgart Dhagpo Kagyu Buddhist Group – Karma Samten Ling

Dhagpo Kagyu Dharma Group – Stuttgart

During frequent visits to courses in Dhagpo Kagyu Ling (Dordogne) since the late 1990s, we got to know Lama Walli, Lama Yeshe Sangmo and Lama Sherab Palmo, among others, whom we invited a short time later to give courses with us in Stuttgart.

The Dhagpo Kagyu Dharma Group Stuttgart, was founded in 1999. Since then we meet once a week in the evening for common practice. Main practice of these evenings are Chenrezig-Puja and Shine-Meditation (Shamata-Meditation).

For those interested or new to the Dharma, there are additional dates with instructions on Buddhistic basics and meditation.
A study group meets once a month to review, explain and explore Dharma texts in detail.

From the beginning we have invited Lamas from the Dhagpo-Mandala to give courses here with us. Every Lama visit and every course is a huge gift for us. Since then until today Lama Yeshe Sangmo, Lama Sherab Palmo, Lama Drubtschog Wangmo, Lama Lodro Thaye, Lama Dorje Drolma, Lama Yangchen, Lama Tashi Andreas, Lamas Gerd and Kerstin, Lama Djangchub, Lama Walli and Lama Sonam, who is in long-term retreat in Dhagpo Kundreul Ling (Le Bost), have been with us.
Our lamas and teachers are students of the Mahamudra master Gendun Rinpoche and have been practising under his spiritual supervision for many years.

We do not have a permanent center, but meet in our “private gompas” for weekly practice. For Dharma events and Lama visits we rent suitable rooms depending on the size of the event. This freedom and flexibility is a basis for us to deepen our practice and to be a very familiar group with a strong cohesion as a natural result of our common orientation towards the Dharma.

Interested people and newcomers are always welcome!

Venerated Jigme Rinpoche, whose New Year courses we used to attend in Dhagpo Kagyu Ling, has given our group the blessed and inspiring name KARMA SAMTEN LING in spring 2019, which means PLACE or LOCATION OF MEDITATION.
