Mannheim Diamond Way Buddhist Center

The Mannheim Diamond Way Buddhist Center was founded on October 23rd 1984 by Lama Ole Nydahl and was first located in private rooms. In the first decades Lama Ole Nydahl visited Mannheim and the region regularly, giving many teachings. Also other known Tibetan Lamas and Rinpoches of the Karma Kagyu lineage visited Mannheim and gave empowerments.

In 2004, Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa stayed in the Rosengarten in Mannheim during a visit to the Heidelberg Diamond Way Buddhist Center and gave the empowerment on the buddha aspect of White Tara to about 2,400 Buddhists and guests.

Guests are invited to visit Mannheim during our meditation times to meditate together and ask questions. Additionally there are talks by national and international Diamond Way teachers and yearly Open Days. School classes are welcome too to get into contact.
