Karlsruhe Diamond Way Buddhist Center
The Karlsruhe Diamond Way Buddhist Center belongs to the non-profit organization of Diamond Way Centers in Germany. It was founded on behalf of Lama Ole Nydahl. In 1975, during the first visit of His Holiness the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, Lama Ole Nydahl gave his first lecture in Karlsruhe. In 1976, friends started to meditate in a private flat. Further locations followed. Since 1994 the Buddhist center has been located in a beautiful old building near the town center. It offers regular meditations on the 16th Karmapa, meditation courses and lectures. Some of the great Buddhist masters of the Karma Kagyu Lineage have visited the center: Kalu Rinpoche, Lopön Tsechu Rinpoche, Gendün Rinpoche, Shamar Rinpoche, Hannah Nydahl and Lama Ole Nydahl.
