Dhagpo Kagyu Ling
Ancient Wisdom Accessible to All
All people wish for lasting happiness. However, living in a complex, constantly evolving society can generate confusion and dissatisfaction. So how do we deal with this? For two thousand, five hundred years the Buddha’s teaching has invited us to cultivate our inner wealth through developing kindness and discernment. The values we pursue through Buddhism are still relevant today and help us generate greater humanity by taking care of ourselves, others, and our world. Based on progressive introspection, meditation, and the practical application of both, we develop more awareness of how we perceive our environment.
Understanding Buddhism and Bringing It to Our Lives
Located in Dordogne, Dhagpo Kagyu Ling is one of the largest Buddhist centers in France.
For more than 40 years, the center has welcomed the public throughout the year. People come in search of meaning and means to enrich their lives, from those already Buddhist to the simply curious, familiar with meditation or not.
Study of Buddhist philosophy, guided retreats, and courses that bring together teachings and meditation shed new light on the challenges we face as human beings.
Dhagpo is a residential center (offering food and lodging)—a place for encounters and exchange—where everyone can come and experience Buddhism in daily life.
