Angers Dhagpo Buddhist Center
Dhagpo Angers was founded in 2002.
The center offers 3 types of activities:
- Public conferences and teachings run by a lama (4 or 5 times a year)
- Study of transcripts or books (meetings of a small group of members approx. every month)
- Meditation sessions of Shine & Tchenrezi (several times a week)
Members meet each other and welcome new people either at the little temple based in Briollay or in Angers (Jardin d'Eden, 3 rue St Lazare).
Dhagpo Angers comes from the Dhagpo Kagyu Ling activity in Dordogne, the European headquarters of the Kagyü school. The 17th Karmapa visited Dhagpo Kagyu Ling in 2015 for the 40th Anniversary of the center. More recently His Holiness led a public programme in Grenoble, France in August 2017.
