H.H. Gyalwa Karmapa and his entourage visit the Diamond Way Buddhist Center in Riga

On June 25, on his way from Stupkalnis to the next big programme in Becske, Hungary, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa paid a visit to the Diamond Way Karma Kagyu centre in Riga, the capital of Latvia.The local sangha offered a warm welcome to His Holiness Karmapa and entourage. Due to the fact that His Holiness had to catch an afternoon flight for Budapest the time for the meeting was rather short, but the Latvian sangha made the best use of it: they gave him an overview of the history, projects and activities of their centre, offered him traditional Latvian gifts and treated him and his entourage to an excellent lunch.
