June 20, 2007: H.H. Gyalwa Karmapa Visits Rendsburg, Germany
On the 20th of June 2007, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley
Thaye Dorje paid a short visit to Rendsburg Germany, which included
a visit with the mayor, Andreas Breitner.
Upon arrival at the newly built center, His Holiness was greeted by
the many people gathered for his visit that afternoon. Karmapa immediately
made his way through the center and around the grounds of the property
for blessings.
Finally, His Holiness met with everyone in the Lhakang for refreshments
and a short presentation. During the presentation they showed the progress
they have made in building this center and they concluded by offering
gifts. His Holiness encouraged everyone to maintain the bonds between
the sangha. He expressed the importance of proper practice, proper motivation
and proper knowledge for becoming a great practitioner. Many people
followed onwards with His Holiness that evening to the Hamburg Center,
where the program for the next two days would be held and mark the finish
of the tour with Lama Ole Nydahl.
