January, Visit in France, Karma Mingyur Ling
The monastery is located in an isolated area in Valence area. The 16th Karmapa visited the place in 1977 and asked Lama Dönsang: ?what is your plan here?? L. Dönsang answered: ?Develop a Buddhist monastery to contribute to spread Buddhism in European countries. But I don?t have anything, no money, no supporters. I also want to fulfil your wishes?. Karmapa faced the mountain and meditated and answered: ?you will achieve your wish and my next incarnation will visit this place?. L. Dönsang started to cry immediately understanding that this meant that the Karmapas was to pass away. And the Karmapa reacted by telling him ?don?t worry! Everything will be alright?. As predicted by the 16th Karmapa, the 17th Karmapa visited Montchardon first in 2000.
