Gyalwa Karmapa attended an official ceremony celebrating “25 Years of the Hamburg Buddhist Center”. Gyalwa Karmapa, the district mayor of Hamburg, Lama Ole, members of the city senate, the protestant Bishop of Hamburg, and a representative from the German Buddhist Union gave speeches at the ceremony. The event closed with Lama dances performed by monks from Rumtek monastery. The local media extensively reported the celebrations.
